Quality & Testing
Rigorous testing at every step.
Every compound sold by Mulholland Labs goes through a documented quality process from raw material sourcing through final lot release.
01
Raw Material Sourcing
Raw amino acids and precursors are sourced from qualified suppliers with documented certificates of origin and purity specifications.
02
Synthesis & Manufacturing
Compounds are synthesized under controlled conditions using solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) or appropriate methodology for each molecule class.
03
Purification
Post-synthesis purification via preparative HPLC removes incomplete sequences, deletion peptides, and other synthesis byproducts.
04
Identity Confirmation
Mass spectrometry (MS) confirms molecular identity by matching observed mass to the expected molecular weight within accepted tolerance.
05
Third-Party Analytical Testing
Every lot is sent to an independent analytical laboratory for HPLC purity analysis, mass spectrometry confirmation, and additional quality testing.
06
COA Publication & Lot Release
Results are compiled into a Certificate of Analysis (COA) and published on our verification system. Only lots meeting our purity threshold are released for sale.
Certificates of Analysis
What is a COA?
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a document issued by an analytical testing laboratory that reports the results of tests performed on a specific lot of product.
A credible COA includes:
- HPLC purity percentage — confirming the proportion of target compound in the sample
- Mass spectrometry (MS) identity confirmation — matching observed molecular mass to expected values
- The name and accreditation of the testing laboratory
- Test date and lot number traceability
Every lot sold by Mulholland Labs has a published COA that can be verified on our site using the lot number printed on the product label.
